ABOUT GWEN

Gwen was born in Dublin, Ireland and has been an artist for most of her life. She studied art in college beginning with oils and her journey eventually brought her to the challenge of watercolours. She has been creative all her life including running art and craft classes for many years. 

Gwen has now returned to full time painting and loves commissions! Her speciality is animals and buildings. Most of the animal subjects have sadly died and her clients expressed a desire to have a hand-painted memory of them. As Gwen lived with a variety of pets during her own life, she understands the importance of capturing the essence of each individual. Clients have been visibly moved with their paintings of beloved companions as they appear so realistic. A hand-painted memory of a pet or family home is a treasure to keep. Some of her favourite Dublin buildings and attractions have been captured in a series of paintings and cards.
